What is the Clean Label Project Purity Award?
When most of us choose a supplement, we start with the label. We look at the ingredients, the sourcing and the formulation.
But there are things an ingredient list can’t always tell you.
Clean Label Project is a nonprofit organization focused on greater transparency in food and consumer products. Its Purity Award evaluates finished products for industrial and environmental contaminants that may not appear on a traditional ingredient label.
Depending on the product category, testing may include:

Heavy metals

Pesticide residues
-
Glyphosate
-
Plasticizers, including certain phthalates and bisphenols
Products are independently tested and evaluated against Clean Label Project’s standards and other products within their category.
In other words, the award looks beyond what a brand says about its product and evaluates the integrity of the finished product itself.
Why independent testing matters.
We took a rigorous approach to formulating Good Bacteria with the highest-quality ingredients we could find, without compromising on the details that matter. That means clinically studied, gold-standard probiotics, non-GMO prebiotics and a postbiotic, with no fillers or unnecessary ingredients.
Thoughtful formulation should also come with thoughtful testing.
Clean Label Project purchases products through retail channels and sends them to an independent laboratory for testing. According to Clean Label Project, testing is conducted by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory.
That additional layer of independent evaluation is what makes this recognition especially meaningful to us.
